A week has passed on Sungem's Peak, filled with all kinds of interesting activities and discoveries. The return of the birdsong can almost disguise the disappearance of one of your number, if you're not too discerning or live in the Dove cabana.

Regardless, whether you've been relaxing and enjoying the amenities, or you've been focused on exploring the fine print behind your island vacation, come Monday there's something new for everyone to enjoy. Sometime overnight in the waxing hours when even the birds are asleep, a dock has risen up from the sea between the boutique and garden area. It leads to a walkway, or rather a railway, overgrown but entirely safe to walk on. Following it will grant you access to an entirely new island with plenty to see and do, complete with signage dubbing it Seagull's Playground.

Don't mind that you can't see the main island from there or vice versa, or that when you're walking on the railway between, you can't see anything but the ocean around you. It's all the more scenic, this way.

Island Spirit
What better way to bond with your fellow vacationers than to be friendly and express physical affection? This can be anything from a hug, to a kiss, to holding hands, cuddling...platonic or romantic of course.

"Soul"... I wonder. That could be why. I'm supposed to have a soul blessed by god. What does your name mean?

Supposed to? Are you something like a Saintess? [ That would be interesting if she was. ] Wang is the name of the village I'm from and it means king, while Lu means land.

Mm... I can't imagine the Temple would be very happy about calling it that. I'm only a civilian who happened to be born with a blessing.

[ Anyway! ] That's a nice name. It's like it connects you to your home.

[ They do exist though in her world. ] Is it common for someone to be born with a blessing?

I supposed it does. Makes you wonder if my mother knew I would be far from home someday, hmm?

[ She frowns a little and gives a brief headshake. ]

I haven't found any records of it... but it must happen sometimes. It's funny to think that a coincidence like that is why I'm here. Is that what you mean, about being far from home? Or do you travel?

If there are no records, then it means you're something special. [ Don't be modest, gurl ]

It's a little bit of both in my case. The path I chose back in my world is going to take me far from those I knew growing up. [ He's looking out at the water as he says this. If he doesn't meet her look then he won't feel how it's actually kind of sad. ]

[ Oh. Did he mcgoof up? Lightly touches her arm that's linked with his as a form of apology before he let's it drop. Might be a bit too soon to ask, so for now... time to focus on the rest! ]

I will see what I can do. [ To both get out of there and maybe visit his home ] Any places you'd like to see again from your world?

[ He gets a slightly surprised glance for the touch, and then a slightly more sheepish smile. ]

Hm... home first, probably. I want to know my parents are doing well. And then I want to see my friend... she has an important tournament coming up, and I think I'm more nervous about it than she is. Oh, but those don't really count as places, do they?

[chosenwang]

If you think about it, standing beside them counts as a place. [ So it counts ] What kind of tournament is it?

[ Honestly, he's too nice. ]

They call it a festival, but it's more of a mock war than anything. All the noble houses with military training compete for the Emperor's favor. ...She's strong, so I know she'll be fine.

What about you? Where do you want to see from home?

[chosenwang]

[ He would deny being nice ]

We have something similar, but it's not for any Emperor's favor. Just a friendly competition between the different Sects to see who is the best.

[ He isn't sure how friendly it'll be, but that's for future him to worry about if he returns home ]

I think I'd like to see more places in general. Besides the Spirit Blade Mountains and my village, I haven't been to many places yet. Read all about them though. Does that count?

[ Oh! Sects! She brightens a little at that, all but tugging him along the rail so they can get to the island. ]

So you're from the same kind of place Wei Wuxian is! Or the same country? [ it's before ligma beach, okay, ]

I think that counts. To be honest, it was a little hard for me to answer because I haven't seen many places either. Will you tell me about yours?

[chosenwang]

[ Oh cute! He'll pick up the pace so they can get there faster. ]

Unfortunately it's not the same place. Just very similar worlds. Are you two close? [ Is this your gf wwx ]

We can make an exchange of it then. You share all about yours and I'll return the favor.

He's a friend. Are you both close, too? It sounds nice to have someone from a similar world.

[ She hopes? Wang Lu is getting a more curious look now, but his suggestion gets a nod. She'll chat, but she wants the gossip first. ]

I'm not sure if he would say that we're close, but there is a certain familiarity and comfort that is felt with his presence. [ Since they both can understand some things without giving a strategy guide summary ] I wouldn't mind getting closer, but don't tell him I said as much.

Is it a secret? I don't see why he'd be unhappy... but, I promise I won't tell. [ She seems a little tickled by this, honestly. ] I think I know what you mean. He really is a comfortable person to be around.
