[The air is always cool and crisp in here, smelling irresistibly of places faraway from and better -- surely -- than these islands. Today, though, there's a certain heaviness in here; maybe it's the fact that there's still less snow than usual, though the snow machines seem to have been (somewhat inexpertly) fixed.
