Good Mourning. Unlike the previous weeks, there's no musical serenade to greet you, just the ambient sounds of the island and the stirrings of those you spent the night with, if you were the type to want company. For those of you on certain islands, the background thrum (and siren laments, for those unlucky) of the warp phenomenon may also have sung you to sleep; but will they sing you to waking? You know how this goes by now, so is anything on this of all mornings really comforting? And is everyone you spent the night with still with you...?

Indeed, the not-so-dulcet tones of the ever-present haze fill the morning; you may not want it accounted for, but here it is nevertheless.

[ Pretty close to his own actually! It's not a perfect match because that would be weird, but definitely close. Also because I can't read the prints are on the handle of the freezer. ]

As for the other aspects of this...

It looks all around bad re: trampling. Plants weren't really spared here. ]

[Neat, thank you. Quin will check her fingers and stuff to confirm this as well, but then it seems like the arm has spilled its most visible secrets.

Ibuki has the cat, so while you're playing fill-in mod, anything about those go-karts?]

[ So on the floor is the bottle of sodium hypochlorite, in a solid state, there's a bit left in the container but it looks like most of it would have spilled out. The vial containing the hydrochloric acid is shattered and a result, pretty much empty. There's not any liquid or substance on the floor where the two substances would presumably have met, but the orientation is close enough where some mixing likely did happen.

And to be clear there's two objects out on the bench: one a bottle of acetone, and the other the beaker with a clear liquid inside. ]

[ If he's very careful he can grab the handle with like, two fingers and pull it open.

[ I've been enough of a menace I will avoid any jokes here. He will carefully grab it with two fingers to open! Open sesame! ]

[ so basically shotgun spread for the glass, just with. no obvious actual source for the glass. hm. thinking noises. we'll come back to trace back where the little glass trails seem to source in a moment, unfortunately we are wrists deep in bird right now.

And the go-kart next to Athos looks like it's the only one affected here! It's just knocked over on it's side. :( ]

[ Without getting a bit closer it might be a little hard to exactly gauge it, but the claw marks are big cat sized, about? And the bite looks elliptical in shape, with the total diameter lengthwise being about 40mm.

The leg, on the other hand, is harder to gauge as to why he's favoring it, but any closer investigation will get Athos to try snapping at him. ]

Just to be clear... is it Zelkov's arm? He's snapping a pic of it in case anyone wants to see where he found it. Is there anything with the arm? Like the Divine Dragon secret recipes or a knife? Is there a lot of blood in here? ]

[Sorry I lied one last thing! About the arm - removed at a joint or mid-bone? We saw the outside but what's the inside lookin like?]

[ Poooossibly self-inflicted maybe? Not sure, but he'll keep that thought in the back of his mind. He's gonna try his best to take some pictures of all this without aggravating Athos too much. Like, yeah, he could fight him, but also he super does not want to.

Oof okay, gonna wait on backup for the leg then. Sorry Athos, this has got to suck a lot. ]

[ It certainly is Zelkov's arm, his left arm specifically, and it's cut off right before the elbow. The flesh around the cut is pretty mangled looking, but the actual cut itself looks clean.

There's also a ring on his, well, ring finger. ]

[ Did someone put a ring on it? Did Lacus have a platonic marriage without anyone?

He will do his best to take pictures of how the wound looks. Then he's going to check out the hand closer. Looking at the fingers, the nails (he has nails right?), and palm to see if there is anything there. Also what kind of ring is he wearing? ]

[ Is the acetone closed or would a professor fish be screaming that they're letting it evaporate into the air?

Does the unidentified liquid show any kind of reaction while it's sitting there? No bubbling, visible signs along the inner edge that it was evaporating, no substrate that precipitated over time from the (potential) solution cooling off?]
