It won't take you long at all to pinpoint the sound is coming from behind the waterfall because it's mandatory that things are always hidden there. Getting there to see what the source is probably requires some minor climbing (careful the rocks are slippery!) and you'll probably get just a little wet too.
Your discovery at first is a little uneventful, because the facade of rocks mostly just looks like well. Rocks. But there's not supposed to be a bright green flashing light at about torso height embedded in the wall, is there? ]
